Competitive, yet soft-spoken, Garrett has a mission to be a positive influence on his peers and to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ through his music and other talents. He believes that God’s plans are bigger than his, and trusts that God will lead him to where he needs to be at the right time he should be there.
At 6’3”, his friends literally look up to him. This freshman from Central Indiana stands tall both on the football field and the basketball court. Garrett participates in choir and show choir, and also volunteers as a small group leader in the children’s ministry at his church.
Garrett’s passion for music began at the age of 7 when he began taking guitar lessons. By the age of 11, he was already writing his own songs, and, at the age of 12, he got the opportunity to open up in local concerts for nationally touring music groups. In July 2010, the music video to Garrett’s original song, “Digital Demon,” was officially released on DVD and has already started to make its way across the U.S. The impact of this DVD, which takes on the relevant topic of “sexting” among teens, is not yet realized, but many people are praying that hearts and lives will be changed as a result of it.
Strong in his faith, and unbending in his values, Garrett is always looking forward to new challenges and adventures. He is not content with just standing on the sidelines. He wants to “Get in the Game for God.”
